MotifMESH™ MacroPorous NW Implant is a universal surgical implant suitable for different types of fascial defects, including ventral hernia repair. MotifMESH combines the favourable ingrowth and healed strength characteristics of large pore monofilament polypropylene surgical meshes with the biocompatibility and reduced adhesion attributes of expanded PTFE implants in one high performance implant of condensed polytetrafluoroethylene (cPTFE).
Features
Uniformly strong : Strong and durable cPTFE material with uniform properties across the implant
Transparent : Transparent open pore structure facilitating fast incorporation and visualization of underlying tissue structures1,3
Thin : Up to 90% reduction in surgical implant thickness over predicate devices improving ease of use and trocar deployment
Smooth : Smooth PTFE surface for reducing adhesion formation
Macroporous : Incorporation of a 100% macroporous surgical implant structure promoting rapid healing and dense collagen formation
Biocompatible : A 70% reduction in surgical implant surface area for improving healing and biocompatibility2
